Terrible experience. I went in for a filling about a year ago. The doctor barely spoke to me, explaining very little about how the procedure would go. After stabbing me with Novocain, I was left alone in a room for almost an hour, with no explanation and anxiety bubbling. No one came to check on me. He returned and silently performed the procedure. I then had severe pain for a few weeks, which he dismissed as being normal and told me I shouldn’t have had such a big cavity in the first place. I take good care of my teeth. Also, so many people, myself included, have anxiety around dental work. This dentist office gives zero cares about you as a human and does not care to comfort you in any way. Let me also note I had absolutely no pain or trouble eating with this tooth prior to the procedure - I only had the filling done because they told me I needed it, and I trusted them. The pain did eventually begin to fade months later, but I had a whole year of not being able to eat on that side because it was sensitive to everything. Every time I called or went back in, they dismissed me. Thankfully, I moved to a different state and had to find a new dentist. The pain came back and I had to have that tooth extracted. The hygienists are also very mean to one another and share inappropriate personal stores. One woman in particular talked down to all of her peers in front of patients. Another one complained loudly about how her parents didn’t buy her takeout the night before so she had to “starve”. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOURSELF, DO NOT GO HERE. They do not care about you.

I can’t say enough good things about this office! The entire staff was so kind, and compassionate. I’m thrilled that, together with the Dr, we came up with a solid game plan to restore and keep my teeth. I’m even more pleased (and grateful) that they helped me find an easy and affordable way to pay, since my insurance isn’t accepted here. Pretty awesome that I feel confident and comfortable going to the dentist again!

I had an appointment today which is November 2nd 2023 at 10am. However I wasn't taken till 11:00 a.m. I kept asking the receptionist how long is it going to be? She kept saying not long and that ended up turning into an hour wait. Then I was seeing for a consultation and it was 10 minutes. Then after I was done being seen I had to see somebody for check out and in consultant and that took another 20 minutes. I'm not a happy client. Plus customer service has gone down hill big time. Where their system got hacked over the summer it's even worse at Aspen dental. I always loved and enjoyed going to Aspen dental. Their whole clientele of staff has turned. It's not like it used to be. I'm very disappointed and unsatisfied.

The dentist and assistants were great but the lady in charge of billing lied to me about what my insurance would cover. Told me Endodontist dont except any insurance. Lie. I left there called my actual dentist office and they are referring me to in network provider. You cant lie to patients just so they get work done at Aspen. Will never step foot in that place again.

Went in about 3 yrs ago for a tooth extraction and had the worst experience. The guy who pulled my tooth was very rude and aggressive. He ripped my gums open across 2 other teeth which was more painful than the extraction was and took a very long time to heal. Definitely not the experience I was expecting considering how much I had to pay. Next time I will opt in for the sedative if they don't charge an arm and a leg for it! I pay out of pocket.

Aspen Dental is horrible! I have cleanings consistently every six months, and last May I showed up for a cleaning and they told me my appointment had been canceled but because the scheduling is done by a different company they don’t communicate and nobody notified me. I took time off from work to show up for an appointment that never happens. I’ve been teaching out trying to rescheduling a cleaning and because of their system issues they can’t find my information and they want to schedule a exam but not a cleaning. It seems as though they don’t want patients . I was told I would get a call back I never did. The service is awful and I’m going to find another dentist.

first of all I hate writing reviews however I had too for this place. I have been going to the south Portland location for the last 5 years I transferred from South Portland to this location due to convenience back in August of 2023. it's December the 8th 2023 and yet have had anything. I booked multiple appointment and non of them were kept due to their "stuffing". Anyway My appointment suppose to be the 14th of December again cancelled. My only question is why accept new patient if you don't got the approbate stuffing. Anyway I guess I have to go back to the South Portland Location.
